MaintStar Supports Your Service to All Community Members
MaintStar is dedicated to creating products that support access to government services and information for all members of our partner communities. Our developers work hard to ensure that every solution they design supports the legal and regulatory requirements our customers are operating under.
Wherever possible, our products meet the accessibility guidelines outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 for AA compliance and the accessibility criteria required by the United States Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 508. We use accessible web design practices grounded in WeCo’s Standards of Accessibility, which include and expand upon elements of WCAG 2.1.
These standards are designed to make web content and technology usable for more people, including those with visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, or speech-related limitations. When accessibility is done well, it improves the experience for everyone—not just those with specific needs. We encourage our customers to meet these standards and work alongside them to support that effort.
Because many MaintStar products allow for local configuration and customization, changes made by a city or county can affect how well a solution aligns with accessibility guidelines. For that reason, we recommend reviewing page styling and form design at the time of publishing to ensure those changes remain compliant.
MaintStar actively supports applicable federal and state accessibility requirements, including ADA Title II and Colorado HB21-1110. We maintain Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) and continue to invest in accessibility improvements as part of our product roadmap.
If you run into an accessibility issue, our team is here to help. Please contact MaintStar Customer Service at support@maintstar.com, and we’ll work with you to address it.
